How we work
We promote the use of solar energy in economically disadvantaged regions of the global South by working closely with local partner organisations. Because we are convinced that sustainable change can only succeed if solutions are developed jointly and rooted in the local context.
Through education, infrastructure and innovative approaches, we create the conditions for solar energy to have an impact – where it is needed. This creates development opportunities for disadvantaged people and at the same time protects the climate: locally anchored, climate-friendly and sustainable.
Education
Education is the key to sustainable change. In our projects, we promote skills that people can use to shape the energy transition locally.
Infrastructure
We enable the installation of solar systems to supply facilities such as health centres with electricity – and thus reliably covering basic needs.
Innovation
We promote new approaches and strengthen structures so that solar energy has a long-term impact – through innovative technologies and better political and economic framework conditions.
