Light for Huiléhoé

It was always pitch dark at night at the health center in Huiléhoé in Togo – but those days are over.

The healthcare staff used to have to work with makeshift flashlights. Thanks to a new solar system, the building now shines with light even after sunset.

More than half of the health centres in sub-Saharan Africa have no or only an unreliable power supply. The Santé Solaire programme improves the conditions in health centres in Burkina Faso, Niger and Togo with sustainable solar energy.
