Our
Finances
It is important for Solafrica to provide transparent information about its financial situation. You will find information about the origin as well as the use of the funds.
Origin of the funds in 2024
Solafrica is funded entirely by donations and project contributions. With a total revenue of CHF 2.9 million, more income was generated than ever before in the history of Solafrica. Programme-related contributions and unrestricted donations both increased significantly. The financial year closed with a positive annual result of CHF 84,228.
Use of funds in 2024
Total expenditure rose to CHF 2.5 million. This is divided into three categories in line with the Zewo Foundation method. 77% of our total expenditure goes directly into our projects that promote solar energy for people and the climate. Fundraising expenditure accounts for 15% and administrative expenditure for 8%. The increasing revenues show that the expenses for fundraising are being used efficiently and are having the desired effect. It is also pleasing to report the further reduction in administrative expenditure.
