The Scouts go Solar project trains scouts around the world to become Solar Ambassadors. In around 10 days of training, they learn the basics of solar energy, develop concrete project ideas – and later implement them in their home countries. The climate crisis affects young people particularly hard – yet at the same time, they often have little say in the matter. However, they are crucial for the future of our planet. In many regions of the world, however, there is a lack of access to knowledge, technologies and networks to enable them to take action themselves. <\/p>

The worldwide Scout movement offers enormous potential here: with over 60 million members, firmly anchored in local communities, it is an ideal network for publicizing renewable energies and offering and demonstrating opportunities for action to young people.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Every year, Scouts go Solar trains scout leaders from different countries to become solar ambassadors. The training courses take place in a different region of the world and combine theory with practice: participants learn how solar energy works, how to plan age-appropriate activities and how to build their own solar devices. <\/p>

They then implement their own projects – for example solar stoves in schools, educational workshops or community projects in rural areas.<\/strong> In this way, they spread knowledge about solar energy far beyond the Scout Movement.<\/p>

At the same time, long-term competence centres are being created in the regions, which can carry out further training independently.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
