Like many young people there, he grew up without electricity. Many things that others take for granted seemed out of reach for him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abI had the will to make a change, but no means, no access to education, no prospects\u00bb, he recalls. But then he was given an opportunity that changed everything.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/solafrica.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/photo_2025-02-13_16-32-53-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20633\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to the <strong data-start=\"727\" data-end=\"754\">Solar Learning Ethiopia<\/strong> project, Endale was able to complete training as a solar technician. \u00abI\u2019ve always been interested in solar technology because it has the potential to solve the energy crisis in my town and across Ethiopia\u00bb, says Endale.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, that\u2019s exactly what he is doing. Together with five other project participants \u2013 including three women \u2013 he founded a company with the help of a microloan. They install solar systems, repair existing ones, and bring electricity to homes, schools, and small businesses. Their work is transforming lives in a sustainable way.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/solafrica.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/DSF0223-6-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20383\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tsegaye Hailye, our local project manager, experiences the deep impact of the project every day: \u00abIt\u2019s moving to see how many young people find work in the solar sector after their training and gain financial independence. But it\u2019s also painful to know that we are still far from reaching everyone who needs help.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abYour donation not only gives people like Endale new perspectives for a self-determined future.
